About Me

My photo
I am Sara Hamza, a senior at Hume Fogg High School and part of the Senior Capstone program. I intern at Preston Taylor Ministries, an after school program for inner city children. For my project, I have created a program entitled Dreams United to connect each child at the Park Avenue site with someone who can help them further explore an area of his or her interest. I created this program with hopes that each child will take a simple interest and turn it into a hobby, which ultimately means putting his energy into a positive endeavor. This is important for these children because it is tough to counter the negative forces that they are immersed in due to their surroundings. If you are interested in helping, providing expertise in a child's area of interest, or if you have any questions please feel free to contact me at sarahamza@comcast.net

Ja'vonte

Ja'vonte is in the third grade and has six younger siblings. Ja'vonte and his younger brothers are all interested in break dancing, and wants to learn more break dancing moves. His two younger brothers, Latrell and Jaheem, also at PTM, are also want to further their interest in break dancing. Ja'vonte is very outgoing and has lots of energy.
Ja'vonte's other interests include playing racing games on the PlayStation and riding his bike. He wants to be a police when he grows up so that he can "put the bad people in jail."
